For the first time in A.I. history, the age range has been lowered to 15!! The producers released a statement saying “A lot of young, talented people are now seeking careers and representation before they turn 16, lowering the age limit allows us to tap into this talent pool.”
OK, i can see where their coming from on this one, but one of my problems with Aaron & Katie last year was they were too young. yes, i thought they had talent and an amazing gift but they just didn't have time to perfect it and were a little too "green". so by lowering the audition age, a slue of young teens could be taking up the spots where young adults who have the experience and mentality for this type of lifestyle could be overlooked because that kid in the glasses is just soooo cute and marketable. Personally, i think it's a bad idea but I'll keep an open mind and see how things go.
