So they've made an adjustment to the Hollywood Round and are calling it "Sing For Your Life". What happens is each of the Top 40 will sing one song, either a cappella or using an instrument (usually a guitar), and the song can be either a cover or an original. Now what happens after that isn't being disclosed but it sounds to me like they are using this round to replace the "chairs" episode, which is the one where the judges pick the semifinal groups. It'll be interesting to see how this change works out for this season.
